Residency Requirement
At this time, Leg Up maintains a strict residency requirement for participation in the Summer Camps and Horseback Riding Lesson programs.
Registration is limited to campers and students who are local/residing year-round (not visiting) to our immediate area. Residency is determined based on the child's physical home address and school district where the student is enrolled in school.
Please read our Residency Requirement - FAQ's section (at the bottom) for more details.
Eligible campers and students must meet these requirements:
Q: I have a child who lives with another parent during the school year, but lives with in the Fort Mill area full time during the Summer.
A: residency is determined by child's school district enrolled during the prior school year.
Q: I have a relative visiting from out of town who will be staying with us during the summer. Can he/she attend a camp when they are here?
A: Unfortunately, we do require local residency for all campers//students. Visiting friends/relatives would not be eligible to participate.
Q: Our family will be moving to the Fort Mill area later this summer. Can we sign up for a Summer Camp or Lessons now?
A: Residency is determined at the time of registration. Thus, the camper/student would not be eligible until legal residency is established.
